Oslo

Though expensive, the Norwegian capital of Oslo is a beguiling city --
particularly in summer, when the sun's last rays still haven't faded
by 11 p.m. and the locals seem to be in a nonstop party mode. Walk
down the city's main drag, Karl Johans Gate, bordered by restaurants,
cafes and upscale stores.Quotations from famous Norwegian writers are
engraved on the pavement of Karl Johans Gate.
