Some recent pictures i took of a 3 day cirmambulation around Mount
Kailash in Eastern Tibet.
We flew into Kathmandu, travelled by bus to the border town of Kodari
in Nepal and walked across the border into Zhangmu Tibet.
Two days of acclamatisation in Nyalam ,Tibet which is at a height of
approx. 14,500 ft. From Nyalam we travelled to Lake Mansarovar with
overnight halts Saga and Paryang.
The 3 day journey around the mountain begins at Tarboche at approx.
15,500 ft and you walk to Longla Pass which is at 19,000 ft and
descend back to a 15,500 ft. a little before Tarboche and then you
drive back to Lake Mansarovar and to Kathmandu.
