Photographer Greg du Toit had suffered a year of gruelling, failed attempts to get the perfect wildlife picture near a watering hole in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. So he decided to climb into the water. Thus began a 270-hour waiting game, at the end of which Du Toit emerged not only with a bad case of malaria but with these spectacular images.
